The Ranch Story
The mission of Texas ranches has changed through the years. In their beginnings, ranches were put together to run vast herds of cattle, providing a working livelihood to their founder families. Stricter management, agricultural advances and discoveries of oil turned these first ranches into generators of our state’s first great stories of wealth.
As Texas matured, ranches became the result of wealth, a recreational legacy that affluent players used to park cash and demonstrate entrepreneurial success. Ranches became less about generating wealth and more about generating good morals and work ethics in the sons and daughters of those founding patriarchs.
As wealth grew down into the middle class, this mission of “getting back on the land” to teach children the value of hard work, to teach them the ways of success, our state sees smaller ranches joining their bigger cousins as settings for family growth and the forging of legacies.
In all cases, Texas ranches became the tangible legacy statement of many great families, passed from generation to generation, from 100 acres to over 10,000. Ranches mean greatness, show the fruit of hard work, show a family’s commitment to core values that made our country great. Our mission is to help families realize that same dream of building a Texas legacy ranch for themselves, for their descendants, to carry their name and beliefs forward for generations to come.
